ACCESSIBILITY

ACCESSIBILITY

Since the creation in 2005 of the law "For equal rights and chances, participation and citizenship of disabled people", universal accessibility is an obligation. Museum teams are committed to this, not only by bringing the buildings into compliance (currently underway) but also by designing mediation tools to optimize the comfort of disabled visitors (wether it is motor, mental, visual or auditory) during their visit.

Admission to the museum is free for holders of an inclusion mobility card (CMI) and the person they are with, if specified on the card.  It is a priority access.

The museum, which aims to obtain the tourism and disability label in 2025, has been dedicating yearly and since 2023, three days to reflect and discuss about accessibility and to experiment with innovative tools. Have a look at our website to see which are the next dates for the Accessibility Days at the musée des Beaux-Arts de Caen.
