Yoann Thommerel published in January 2023 the first text, Opulence, inspired by Frans Snyders' Intérieur d’office.
Belinda Cannone published the February 2024 book.
Stéphane Lambert published the 2025 book.

Les Cahiers du musée

Cahiers du Musée des Beaux-Arts de Caen, n° 1, 2010
© Musée des Beaux-Arts de Caen & Burodesformes - Gilles AcézatPublishing a periodical allows museums to report on the study of their collections, their enrichment or their activity. In Caen, these Cahiers are part of the editorial tradition of the Société des Amis, whose Gazette recounted the activities of the association and the highlights of the year.
While continuing to chronicle the life of the museum, these Cahiers are enriched with the interest and value of a scientific journal. They thus testify to the vitality of research in art history by publishing, in the form of studies carried out by members of the museum’s conservation or specialists and academics, the latest achievements of this discipline in the collections of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Caen.
L'Œuvre en question

Each issue of the collection L'Œuvre in question is devoted to studying in detail a particular art work of the museum, placing its production within the career of its author and its historical context; analyzing its iconography; and tracing the vicissitudes of its history, from the artist’s studio to the rooms of the Caen museum.
